It's always funny when you've known a story all your life through different forms and you finally get to reading the book it came from. I already knew most of the events (except for the ending which I found as nice as the adaptations' ones) yet it was still lovely to read. The writing is quite nice and brought a few smiles on my face. I'm glad I got it !

I loved the story but I hated the way it was written. It's a very old fashioned book and really not what I was in the mood for. I'll stick to the movie in the future. We chose this as one of our Battle of the Books books and I feel sorry for all the students having to read it.
