I found the characters unlikable. But re-reading this while taking my Masters in Clinical Psychology has helped me shed a light to their personalities and why they are unlikeable.

Okay so I absolutely loved this journey. It was very rewarding and had so much depth. The ending showed the character growth with such care. Just, wow.

I don't like books where the main character seem to be just wasting away drinking and smoking and I didn't like Catcher in the Rye. Like Anne said it's possible that Charlie was a highly functional Autistic kid but even Stephen Chbosky the author seemed to realize the same so how would I think of that. So the rating is 3.5 at most. But I wanted to read this book ...more
