Entertaining slice of 1860s sensationalism, starring the wonderfully villainous Lady Audley. I think the story could have been told in half as many pages but that's the Victorians for you!

Not everything that happened in this book may have been the most realistic thing in the world, but it was fun to read. Much more fun that the Victorian book I am reading now, Agnes Grey, which is putting me to sleep.
