Wow, this book is so topical! I didn't intend it to fit a theme, but it fits right in to the #metoo movement. In the first few pages, I was worried that the book was self-consciously experimental in form, but in fact it ended up working for me. 4.5 stars. I gobbled it up one afternoon. Oates gives it her own unique touch - as little by little, all the air finally runs out.
