What Members Thought
I really enjoyed this book. Many people who read this before me said that this book wasn't about baseball; it's about more than that - which is true, but fundamentally, it is a book about baseball. I'm not complaining about that either, because I love reading sports books - well, the good ones at least, and fortuanately, this one fell into that category. Even so, there are many other things going on in this novel.

Very solid read. The events and characters are focused around the Westish baseball team at Westish College. The college is what draws thee very dissimilar characters together, but despite all their differences, what they have in common ultimately draws them all together. Although the book is about a lot more than baseball, I would suspect anyone who does not know the game of baseball will find some of the descriptions of the game long winded , but if you do like or at least understand the game,
