What Members Thought
I started this book because 'dirt music'(acoustic music you play on the porch with friends)is my kind of music and I thought it would be a big theme in the book. It wasn't. Also, Winton has a good reputation as a writer. The book is well written, but I wasn't prepared for so much pain and suffering. Even the weather was oppressive. Half way through I just couldn't take it any more.
