Every sentence is an unexpected delight. For some reason this novel reminded me in a deep visceral inexplicable way of Zeno's Conscience. I have to ponder that for a while.

Some books have to be seen rather than heard. The Story of My Teeth is one of those tales. The artwork was interesting. Luiselli's style is comparable to Haruki Murakami, Instead of Murakami Bingo we could have a Luiselli Author & Artist Scavenger Hunt.
This was also the first time I recall seeing a separate section written by the translator. It seemed a bit strange at first but somehow worked out.
This book is a fun romp with words.

I giggled my way through the first 90 pages or so (the names!), but after that it started to feel tedious. I found myself skimming through the rest until I got to the penultimate section, where a new voice stepped in and woke things up. Even though this is a short book, I think this would have worked better as an even shorter novella. At least for me.
