I think I've been using the word atmosphere when describing books too often lately. But really, it's the word the describes what I want to say the best. And if any book is full of atmosphere it's this one. Dark, brooding and gloomy in it's essence, oppressive in it's setting and disturbing in it's conclusion. I read this for the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge task to "Read a book under 100 pages". This may have been a short book, but it was certainly not an easy read! It is just so unrelentingly DARK! I'm unsure how to rate it - I certainly didn't enjoy reading it, but I can see that it will stay with me for a very long time.

I don't necessarily have the energy at this point of the semester to review this, but I'll just say that I loathe this novel immensely for a plethora of reasons.
