What Members Thought

I gave this book 5 stars because it pieced together everything that I've felt was happening but couldn't explain myself. The book to a large extent is about the history of the Koch family, which Mayer does a nice job of explaining their libertarian ideas and how those ideas tie into their family fortune. Always good to know who’s winning the asshole Olympics. Despite the cheery names of tax evasion pits for political control (a.k.a. “think-tanks”) like: Americans for Prosperity, the Heritage Foundation, Generation Opportunity, Concerned Women for America, and whatever other smiley upbeat we-don’t-want-to-feast-on-your-corpse branding—remember kids, the Koch brothers are not your friends. And I certainly didn't know that they were able get away with claiming that this money was spent on "charitable donations". G

I can't even rate this. I'm glad I read this, but I hated reading it.
