Good demonstrates how childhood trauma manifests in adulthood by writing a story that spans decades. The multiple perspectives provide examples of how varied coping mechanisms can be. Five Little Indians is a digestible microcosm of the residential school system and its multigenerational impact.
The writing did not feel like a strong point for me. I think the plot and pacing were solid, but the characters feel a bit flat. I would have liked a deeper dive into their psyche.

Haunting story which follows the lives of five children who were victimized by there time in residential schools and the long term effects it had on the rest of there lives.
Well done, and would be a great introduction for those unfamiliar with this history.
It will be very interesting to hear this being defended at Canada reads.
