What Members Thought
The basic storyline is interesting enough, and the writing can be quite beautiful in spots, but as a whole I only found this book to be ok, too many characters come and go in quick succession, and I never got invested in the outcomes.
I'm writing this several months after reading, and just bumped up my rating to 4 stars. It has stuck with me to the extent that I still recall vivid descriptions of frantic racing through the wilderness, of the Widow's love affair in the mountains, and the aftermath of the landslide in the mining town.
