A fun and enjoyable quick read. Very well written piece of dystopian sci-fi. Tries valiantly to answer the question of what will eventually happen to mankind when he gives total control of his life over to machines. I find it, in some way highly evocative of both Clarke's City And The Stars and several of Isaac Asimov's robot novels. Movie wise the closest parallel would be Wall-E. ...more

Odd little story. In some ways it's prescient of today but in others it's not. Also it sacrifices real characterisation and even plot to describe its world and make a POINT.

But worth a read. It's quick.
