A very fun read. I think Amelia Peabody and all the characters were great. Story has a good plot and the action moves along quite well.

Amelia Peabody sets off to explore the ruins of Egypt and adopts the bereft young gentlewoman, Evelyn, on the way. The mystery of an animated mummy haunting the excavation of Amarna catches Amelia's & Evelyn's attention, as do the brother excavators themselves. Will Evelyn find true love? Will they unmask the mummy and the reason it haunts the old tombs?

Still a wonderful romp through Victorian-era Egypt ...more
