What Members Thought

Normally I don't like books that can't stand on their own, but the inventiveness of the world and the variety of stories made me really enjoy it in spite of the fact that it's only the first half of a too-long novel. Some of the stories told by the traveler characters are very strong, like the Priest's story (which unfortunately came first), but others left my attention wandering. I'll check out Fall of Hyperion at some point soon but I'm going to read some other stuff in-between.
