Harry Bosch is still volunteering at the San Fernando Police Department (SFPD), working cold cases and helping with any new homicides. His old LAPD partner, Lucia Soto, shows up unannounced with her current partner and an assistant district attorney in tow, advising him that one of his old cases is back in play. New DNA evidence may exonerate a man (Preston Borders) Bosch helped put on death row almost 30 years ago and he’s being accused of evidence tampering by the man’s lawyer. In the middle o

I have been saving this book for when I needed a Bosch fix. I have been sick with the flu, on and off, for awhile and needed a pick me up. As I had a sick day I was able to rip through this one. I was listening to this on audio, so I could wrap myself in blankets like a burrito and shut my eyes. To my surprise, as I no longer read synopsis to Bosch, Haller was also in this one!

This leads Harry into going undercover and taking on some Russian pill pushers. Meanwhile, a man on death row who Harry helped convict thirty years ago, is now claiming that th

I listened to this one and I loved it. It was very intense in nature because Harry was accused of planting evidence and then another part of the story was Harry going undercover to get a Russian pill mill put out of commission.
This was very good and I loved both stories.
I am giving this one 5 out of 5 stars.

I didn't realize till I had started reading this that this had been in the Amazon series. And the series had stuck pretty close to the book. Therefore, the suspense element was lacking in this. I still enjoyed it but I was annoyed by the same thing from the show as in the book. There is a character that shows up in one of the mysteries that Bosch kind of inexplicably took on that I had wondered why in the show and still the same in the book as well.
