What Members Thought

Detective Jane Rizzoli & Medical Examiner Maura Isles are investigating the gruesome murder of a big game hunter and taxidermist who died in a similar manner to how he captured his own big cats. Maura eventually finds a connection to an unsolved case in the wilds of Botswana where six members of a safari either were presumed dead or whose bodies were later found. There was one survivor and the suspected murderer has never been seen again. That survivor has taken great pains to stay hidden all th

Homicide Detective Jane Rizzoli and Medical Examiner Maura Isles are working a new murder. Taxidermist Leon Gott was found hanging upside-down in his garage. He had been gutted just like the deer hanging in his study. While Jane looks for leads in the case, Maura begins to believe that they may have a serial killer in their midst. She finds other murders that could be tied to this one...including the disappearance of a group of tourists on safari in Africa.

Die Again
4.5 Stars
Detective Jane Rizzoli and Medical Examiner Maura Isles join forces once again to investigate the curious case of a taxidermist strung up and gutted in his home. When additional remains are found, Jane and Maura come to believe that the murder is related to the disappearance of a group of bush tourists in Africa. Has the killer changed continents?

I really enjoyed it.
I've a good time reading all about "the cats" and the hunting stuff.
I think it's a little bit different from her previous works (Rizzoli & Isles series). But it works and I highly recommend it.

Six years ago a safari group goes missing. A few of their remains are found, but some of them are not. There is one survivor. Now Rizzoli and Isles have a case that may be linked to the safari group tragedy.
Another great case in the Rizzoli and Isles series. The characters continue to be interesting and the mystery baffling. I almost thought I had this one figured out, but I was only half right. Maura really seemed to step up in this one. She had a theory and stuck to it. Jane also put her foot ...more

Loved this book. It was the Rizzoli and Isles from the first few books, not the one from the television series. This story has Jane travelling from Boston to Botswana to crack the case of a Big Game Hunter and famous taxidermist who ends up hung and gutted in his own garage. The book jumps back and forth between a previous situation in Botswana six years earlier where a group of tourists, their guide and spotter all disappear on a safari into the back country and the murder and investigation in

Style and Language
Haunting, with a well written direct language and very exiting. Die Again has everything a good thriller should have.
A safari tour which was meant to be a great adventure, turns into a living and deadly nightmare for most of its participants. In Boston gets an embalmer murdered and a keeper at the Boston zoo killed by a wild animal. All those incidents seem to have nothing in common. But Maura Isles things otherwise although no one believes her, not even her friend Jane Rizzol ...more
