FBI Special Agent Megan Elliott is called in to the scene of a brutal murder by the Sacramento Police Detective John Black when he determines that it fits the pattern of three previous murders on an FBI hot sheet. Megan finds a dog tag on the victim identifying him as a veteran, an important lead that eventually takes her to Hildago, Texas, the site of the next similar murder. Three former Delta Force members are murdered and FBI special agent Megan Elliott is determined to find their killer. Jack Kincaid is also determined to find the killers. What she doesn’t know is that one of the killers has another victim in mind once the Delta Force members are gone.

FBI Agent Megan Elliott is called to the scene of a murdered homeless victim. But things are not what they seem. This case is tied to a string of gruesome murders of Delta Force soldiers from across the country. Is there a specific reason or is the perp just after the Delta Force vet

I read this book with a goodreads group. With unstable characters, the suspense is heightened, so
there were some moves that were unexpected, and I hoped the good guys would not get picked off.

Much more suspense than romance, and I was disappointed at the abrupt ending.
