Wonderful mystery with a great plot that doesn't give up its' secrets until the action packed ending. I have always loved Melinda Leigh and her books are consistently top notch. I don't know if the Morgan Dane Series is going to continue, but I hope it will. I love the Dane family and how they have opened their hearts and home to others. The depiction of the kids is spot on and so funny.

In this final installment of the series, Morgan Dane and her colleagues look into the disappearance of true-crime writer Olivia Cruz. The investigation soon reveals connections to two cold cases, but why would someone want Olivia gone?

While this book is a significant improvement on the previous one and is a satisfying read overall, there are still some issues with Leigh's writing style. In this particular case, the resolution lacks foundation, and there is absolutely no

Her boyfriend, Private Investigator Lincoln Sharp, received a call from Olivia's mother saying that Olivia never showed for a scheduled appointment. I put off reading this book for a bit as it is the last in the Morgan Dane series. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the books in this romantic suspense/crime/PI mystery series. Morgan Dane is the main character but over the series many more have been added. This book has Olivia Cruz, a crime reporter we met in a previous book, missing. Lincoln Sharp, Olivia's boyfriend is planning on finding her, even if he has to break the law to do it. Lance, Morgan's fiancé, plans to help his boss stay out of tr ...more

There was a fair amount of suspense in this book. Lots of angst {as would be expected} over the disappearance {kidnapping} of one of the newer main characters in this series. I could not sort out all the suspects until the very end, which was basically not getting the connection at all!

I have liked this series from the beginning, and one major event did fit in before the end :-)

This must have been the best book in the series. It was really devastating to how Sharp suffered. He deserves so much more after always helping others. And there wasn’t really anything to go on after ....... went missing. Nobody could help with insides or point the investigation in the right direction. I’m not sure I wouldn’t have given up in ..... place. And I definitely didn’t see the real mastermind behind the scenes. Everybody should read this series!
I chose to read this book and all opinion

Save Your Breath is a good ending to the series. A lot of relationship issues are wrapped up, but there is some leeway to bring characters into future stories, something that the author does occasionally.
The case is solid with a few tense moments with both the case and the main characters.

I'm sorry to see Morgan Dane and crew at an end. I hope to see them again, but if no, the ending is satisfying and well done.
