Update 10/19/21: I read this seven years ago and my reread was a listening experience. I remembered nothing so it felt like the first time. It was a completely different experience on audio and I mean that positively. There’s not a thing I’d change in my original review other than to comment on the narration. She nailed Indy and did a fine job with the other characters, especially the more unconventional ones.

Ever read one of those stories where what comes next is almost predictable but the det

I'm enjoying this book because it's funny. Indy is the woman they invented TSTL (To Stupid To Live) to describe. She won't stay where she's put or do what she's told, even with a psycho wanna be mobster after her. She has very little filter before she speaks her mind and wonders why everyone is all up in her business. I can't say I really like her, but she is definitely great comic relief. ...more

I loved this book...Indy comes to her best friend's brother for help when she and a friend are shot at. Lee Nightingale...yummy Alpha, ex-military and runs a PI/security/not sure what he does type of firm. Indy is hilarious and I so enjoyed seeing all the trouble she gets herself into and Lee gets her out of. This is the first book in the series and I will definitely be reading the rest of the series. Kristen Ashley has grabbed me again. ...more

Not with Rock Chick, the book takes off right out of the gate and does not stop until the very last page. There is no way to adequately summarize this first book in the Rock Chick series. It epitomizes the fun, fantasy, and drama which is the hallmark of these books.

This book is so much like Indy - I characterize her as .... Sparkly. This book is li

The first book in Kristen Ashley's debut series is light and fun, but some of the shenanigans are over the top and ridiculous.

The heroine, Indy Savage, is likable enough although there are moments when the desire to slap her silly is almost overwhelming. Lee Nightingale is alpha and as sexy as they come, and unlike the heroes in KA's later series (Dream Man, Colorado Mountain), he isn't a jerk. In fact, he knows that Indy is the ONE for him and has the patience of a saint when i
