Deliciously twisted journey of a roller coaster ride. I totally found myself very much liking Alice and Cellie’s journey into the past. The way this book twisted and turn was very much like a puzzle that we the readers had to figure out.

I totally found myself liking the way it begins. It begins from Cellie’s point of view and then we switch to Alice being in an institution. There was a tragic death and that she is being forced into the Savage Isle, which is a mental ward. There were a lot of thi Deliciously twisted journey of a roller coaster ride. I totally found myself liking the way it begins. It begins from Cellie’s point of view and then we switch to Alice being in an institution. There was a tragic death and that she is being forced into the Savage Isle, which is a mental ward. There were a lot of things that have happened. She could be brought up on criminal charges. They are there to help Alice deal with things. The doctor wants her to keep a journal.

The past is very much part of her life. I liked how we got to see her relationships with her sister and the first boy that she loved, Jason. She has to share him in a lot of ways with Cellie. Jason, Cellie, and her have always have had a hard life. They have suffered with some abusive people in their lives. It makes these three characters very sympathetic in a lot of ways. You understand their pain and why they have taken the actions that they commit in the book. Even though some of the things they do are so incredibly risky.

I also like the way that Alice and Chase connect. It was not what you call a good relationship in my opinion. I felt that at times both of them were using each other to get what they needed. Alice feels like Cellie is being kept somewhere else and that Cellie is planning something bad. The doctor tries his best to help Alice, but Alice doesn’t trust the doctor. Her and Cellie have been through a lot via the foster system or so we have been led to believe. There is something about the way these two work together that seems to be a little convenient. Not to mention her interactions with the other patients seems to be one of hostility and you get why.

The crazy twist at the end of this book was kind of like “Oh” I didn’t see that coming, but it totally made sense as their were clues that I didn’t realize that Cellie was a walking hallucination in a way. There were things that were happening through out the book that made me think why is Cellie not being treated or why aren’t we getting her point of view. The last chapter or epilogue of this book was downright creepy in a way. I totally enjoyed the way it ended.

A good creepy book.

We'll Never Be Apart was a book that I requested last year because it sounded very intriguing, it was a debut book and I wanted to read a bit more contemporary. For some reason or other I couldn't get to it before release date and then it joined the ranks of my poor backlogged eARCs.
