This is the first Colleen Hoover's book that I read and it really was a spectacular journey for me. I literally felt everything while reading this book. Love, hope, sadness, desperation, anger, disappointment, gratitude. I had heard that this book is great, along with the other books by Colleen Hoover, but I just couldn't properly prepare myself for the avalanches of feelings this book was going to cause me. I loved it from the very first page until its last.

I had heard that this book is great, along with the other books by Colleen Hoover, but I just couldn't properly prepare myself for the avalanches of feelings this book was going to cause me. I loved it from the very first page until its last.
Tate and Miles. Beautiful names, beautiful characters. I fell in love with Miles, I found myself thinking and feeling what Tate thought and felt. Hoover's portrait of her characters was talented and kept my interest until the last sentence. This woman certainly knows how to write a good and heartbreaking love story. The beginning of the book was perfect, it filled me up with questions and worries and the ending was satisfying, I loved it so deeply and irreversibly. Tate's and Miles's love story will stick to my mind for many years to come, I'm so sure of it. The passionate and kind Tate, with more love than the whole universe. And the broken and fragile Miles, whose heart was softer than the petals of a rose. Tate and Miles were just the different sides of the same coin. Their pasts were nothing alike, but they couldn't be more perfect for each other. The plot was amazing, with the proper amount of twists and turns that made my heart both melt and beat frantically.
Overall, 5 out of 5 stars and I'm giving them with all my heart (at least what's left of it after having finished this flawless book). Every chapter broke and mended a different part of my heart and they were all absolutely worth it. I sympathized with both Tate and Miles and understood why they felt and acted the way they did. This book was 100% a divine experience for me. I recommend it to people who are into the new-adult and romance genres. This book contains some sex scenes but they aren't overly explicit. I think I'd put it more into the romance genre and less into the new-adult one. I'm finishing this review by pointing out one more time how much I adored "Ugly Love" and Colleen Hoover's writing style. It became one of my favourite books and I'll definitely read everything else Colleen has written and will write. Tate and Miles, I'll damn never forget you. ...more

This was definitely full of a lot of feels. I liked the dual perspective and the fact that Miles ' story was the backstory. For a while there I felt like I was reading a book that was basically a compilation of Flowers in the Attic meets Fifty Shades of Grey. But the story itself was very well written and made you want to keep reading. My favorite character in the whole story was Cap. He was a humor relief in a rather dark story. It’s about two characters, Miles and Tate, and it’s not exactly love at first sight. Tate moves in with her brother Corbin because she needs a place to stay. When she moves in, she finds Miles lying in the hallway drunk in front of Corbin’s apartment. Eventually, they form a “no strings attached” kind of relationship.

I think I can safely say this was my favorite book I read in 2014!

This was my first book by Colleen Hoover. All the hype over Colleen and this book were SO WORTH it!!! I now want to read every one of her books!

Words cannot even start to express the way I feel about this book!

4.5 stars for me. I didn't cry during this one. I did read it quickly. The story was heartbreaking, emotional, abusive and lots of sexy times. It is told in two perspectives which kept you wanting to read on. Can't wait to see the movie. ...more
