It's arrived in the mail!
I had to restrict myself to buying this first book first, then buy the next two in the two following month, one per month.

There is a hug hype behind this book on booktube, the place I find my next possible reads these days.
While it's well loved by many, just look at the rating!, this book was not for me.
The major deal breaker was Alexander's relationship with both Dasha and Tatiana at the same time!
The angst is unnecessary and gives little to the story but hear ...more

I enjoyed the story and I'm glad I listened to it on audio because there were a lot of Russian words and places that would have tripped me up and stopped the flow of the story. I loved how strong a character Tatiana was even in the face of so many personal hardships and tragedies. Dimitri was a shit and I wanted to punch him every time he came up in the story. I'll definitely be listening to book 2 when it's released.

This was quite a novel about 800 pages long via Ebook. It also makes for the longest book I've read in a long time. The story kept me very interested there where twists in parts of the story. The only character I wasn't a fan of was Alexander. But I do want to continue the series to see what happens to Tatiana.
