I tried again and was just as confused so here's the end of this one as well.

This is one that I REALLY wanted to like. However, the world building was CHAOTIC. I had literally no idea how to even begin to picture the world in terms of setting, time, location, etc. etc. etc. None of it made sense. I had to read a couple reviews just to understand what was happening.
I didn't mind the other characters, but Meira was so annoying. She threw tantrums to get her way and then made rash decision ...more

I was so surprised by how much I loved Snow Like Ashes! I went into this novel knowing very little about it and I really enjoyed the whole storyline. The world building was great, and I really loved the concept of the world Raasch created. Can't wait to continue this story in the next book!

3.5 stars. I enjoyed the world I just saw a lot of what happened coming from very early on so it dampened my enjoyment a little
I quite enjoyed this story! Looking forward to seeing where the next one takes us.
Loved this book even more the second time around!!
Enjoyable, fast read. Great debut novel!
