Past books: child soldiers.
This book: a child soldier who knows they're a child soldier and wants to be the best there ever was.
Until now, Ax annoyed me, but this entry showcases Ax's rituals and beliefs, and most of all his struggle with the burdens his culture/society placed upon him-- and after all of it, I have such an affection for him. Also, Ax and Tobias' bromance showing up was cute, I want to see more of them in future books. ...more
