The best Jake book so far. His role as unwilling leader is really tested here and I felt much more connected to him as a character than I have in the rest of the series. There's some fun action that is unlike what we have seen in the series before. Plus, this one was funnier than others.
Then the ending reveals-- yay some new horrifying lore <3. I love Animorphs for its gray morality so this was a nice moment for me.
