Man. The Illusion is such a vivid, lengthy torture scene that I struggle to make comments.
Very gruesome, in ways that didn't forward the plot much. I think weaknesses in the writing are covered for by disturbing descriptions and flashbacks-the latter being more successful but still cheap feeling.
Additionally, Rachel and Tobias' interactions here are fascinating-- but unexplored. ...more
