Ok, so last we saw demon summoning homicide detective Kara Gillian, she was hanging from a cliff (figuratively) and this book picks up the instant after that ending.
I liked Touch of the Demon (Kara Gillian), it finally answered some questions that have started to pop up in the last few books while opening new doors for Kara, but... I normally really like this series, but tt took me 3 days, a long time for me, usually I finish these ones in one sitting.
I can't say that I ever warmed up to it, mostly just plodded through. Overall I don't care for spending time in the demon relm. I found it interesting how Kara was stunned that she was betrayed by the demons. Hellloooo, they are demons, why wouldn't they!
On a side note, I wish that I had my own zilla to make my own wardrobe. ...more

This book is the bat in the series so far. The majority of this book takes place in the demon realm which is dis dived in great detail. I really grew to enjoy this realm. I also loved seeing more of the demon in their "natural habitat". There are some great personalities in the demon realm.
Although this book doesn't have the OMG cliffhanger that the previous book, it does end with you wanting more. Now I have to wait a year to see what happens next. ...more

This one was tough, it was interesting but by the middle it slowed for me and I ended up taking a long break from the story. When I finially came back to finish it didn't take long for it to pick up the pace and pull me back in.
