This was an interesting fantasy novel from Stephen King. It wasn't what I expected, but I enjoyed it. It had a lot of wit, humor, sarcasm, napkins and boogers. I could have done without the obsession on the last two items, but it was still enjoyable, nonetheless. It was longer than it needed to be, but I didn't think it dragged on too painfully. My favorite part was the ending. It was not what I was expecting, but it made me think, "Yeah, right on!" King made the storyline work very well.

Oh, goodness. I'm in love. This was book was fantastic! It had a coming-of-age story, a grand quest, a bit of romance, some adventure, some excitement, some humor, a king, a prince, a dragon! It was, essentially, The Princess Bride as reimagined by King and I loved every moment of it.
Also, Bronson Pinchot's reading was fantastic. His Flagg voice was interesting and quite inspired, and it was a pleasant surprise to discover Cousin Balki is a great narrator. ...more
