★★★✩✩ I guess I’m in the minority on this one. Lots of my GoodReads friends that I am so often in synch with loved this one. I couldn’t get past a couple of things. SB*needs low angst books*
Well, when I started this book I didn't think I would finish it but glad I stuck it out. Thank you Britney for sticking it out with me LOL.

I am not a big fan of historical romances, but I do love this author so I decided to give this one a try and am glad that I did as I really liked this book. While so many of these things that happened were predictable, I found myself loving the characters, especially Mairin and Crispin.

There is something to be said when the narrator takes a novel to a higher level. I really enjoyed the story and narration by Kristen Potter.
