I fully admit that the only reason why I picked up this book is because the author is one of my favorite actresses, but I wasn't sure about the book itself after reading the blurb.

Sadly, this one was a big fail for me. I couldn't stand Franny from the start. I know a lot of us have big plans and don't follow through, but for some reason the way that Franny blew things off annoyed me. I wanted to read/listen to this book because a) it was written by Lauren Graham (Hello!? Lorelei Gilmore of Gilmore Girls!?!?!? Loved, loved, loved her (and Alexis Bledel and Melissa McCarthy and the ENTIRE CAST!)) and b) it is narrated by Lauren Graham (have I mentioned I loved Gilmore Girls?)

"...the repetition of a simple phrase - just the act of repetition itself - will bring enlightenment. That's the thing that always stuck out to me - the idea that quantity becomes quality. I always took it to mean if you do anything enough, if you keep putting effort in, eventually something will happen, with or without you. You don't have to have faith when you start out, you just have to dedicate yourself to practice as if you have it." - page 614 of 665 (ebook) ...more

It was sweet. Narrated by Lauren Graham and I'm a recent fan so I know that adds to the enjoyment. ...more
