Okay. So while this book has a reputation for being a rite of pulpy, trashy passage for a lot of young women, there's a whole lot to unpack here, and I'm going to let someone who's a better reviewer than me do that.

What I will say is that on this reread, I felt a lot more empathy for Chris. I hadn't quite thought through how difficult that period of time must have been for him, hitting puberty ahead of his sister and struggling with reining it in without any support. Reading the summaries of th ...more

What is the book about?
