★★★★ What a hoot! This book was
funny
! Tina Fey was after my time of watching Saturday Night Live, I don’t watch 30 Rock, and I’ve only seen a couple of her movies, but I wanted to hear what this modern superwoman had to say. She mixes humor in with advice and some antidotes. I listened to this on audio and Tina Fey does a delightful narration; but, damn, that woman talks fast! Plus, she refers to pictures in “the pdf file” which, as I downloaded this from my public library, I didn’t get wit

Fun, insightful, and all-around a delightful quick listen. I’m glad I went with the audiobook option. I can’t imagine a better way to enjoy this book than listening to Tina Fey performing it.

The book was really funny. This book was a series of essays/memoir about Tina Fey's life. A great mixture of jokes, feminism, gender politics, and camp. She also touched on homophobia in her hometown and dealing with friendships with her gay friends as well(Two of the best stories, essays in the book). Biographies are not high on my reading list but I have heard good things about this one. And I was looking for gasping laughing out loud moments or even just wide smiles.

3.5 stars. This book was funny, and I'm glad I LISTENED to Tina read it herself. It was like Tina was just telling me a bunch of funny stories about her experiences. I'm quite a bit younger than her, and definitely not as "into" show biz, so I didn't get all the references. Entertaining, but surprisingly not as laugh-out-loud funny as I thought it would be. *shrugs*

It was cool and had some interesting moments, but nothing was "laugh out loud funny" like the reviews I've read. I learned a little bit about her but it wasn't as deep as some memoirs are. But that was somewhat expected since it was a comedy book.

This book was just okay. It had it's moments, but mostly it felt like it tried too hard. ...more
