A little disappointed after Hex Hall. It probably deserved 4 stars and I'm too hard but the humor of Hex Hall was missing. Maybe I expected too much after reading other reviews.

But if you like YA with a witchy side and a Queen B turning ninja, this could be your book.

Harper Price has it all under control. She is the quintessential Southern belle. No swear words pass her lips. She is head cheerleader, has a perfect boyfriend, and is soon to be Homecoming Queen. This book was really light and fun! The author describes it as Legally Blonde meets Terminator, which I think is pretty accurate, though it definitely leans more toward Legally Blonde. It started out on a high and ended on a high, the middle was a bit slow but did still keep my interest, and I'll definitely continue with the series as future books are released. Overall, if you're up for talk of makeup, shoes and fashion mixed in with your paladins and oracles, give this one a go. ...more

Rebel Belle is a bit slow to start but it really picks up after the stiletto incident. Leading lady bright, beautiful and overachieving high school junior Harper Price's perfect life goes to check in a handbasket in a night that should have been a rhinestone in her tiara. But that mess makes for a decent amount of ninja action. YA is not really my thing, (but ... audible sale:) and I actually found this very entertaining and I really liked Harper and her nemesis David and the sparks flying betwe ...more
