Venetian Blue by tillieke on DeviantArt - Cormoran Strike (Tom Burke) & Robin Ellacott (Holliday Grainger) from BBC’s “Strike.” It will be known as “C.B. Strike” in the U.S. & will come to Cinemax in June, 2018.★★★★★ I can’t believe I can give such a dark, grisly, drown-right grim book five stars. However, this book is so well written and held me captivated though-out. I couldn’t get over the different levels of intensity and fright I felt. Sometimes it was just mild edginess, other ti ...more

Another fine installment to the Cormoran Strike series! I’m glad I have such a shit memory since I watched the tv show over the summer an it had gone into this third book but I totally forgot the details. Also I have a totally different picture in my head now of what Strike looks like after the show. Thank god because for some reason before the show I pictured him a lot older and not good looking at all. I guess it was the whole boxer thing. I don’t know but now its all different. Anyway I love

This is the third book of the Cormoran Strike series by JK Rowling, writing under the name Robert Galbraith. I jumped at the chance to review this story, as I enjoyed the other two so much. The second one left me with a slight surprise at the end, I was eager to continue the adventure. It surpassed my hopes, and I believe that so far, this is the best in the series. Galbraith seems to really be getting the hang of this crime novel thing. :-)

I enjoy this series very much but was a bit disappointed with the gore of the crimes in this one. I also think the book could have been a bit shorter. The bad guys were hard to keep track of because their personalities were too similar. Other than that, I find the Strike/Robin/Matthew storyline very entertaining and I look forward to see where these relationship go in the future books. I would recommend this book as long as you can handle reading about gore (severed limbs, serial murder) and sex

The story line and plot were good, but it was not my favorite of the three Cormoran Strike novels. As the plot focused around the main characters instead of a separate case, it focused more on their personal lives than I would have liked. While I enjoyed getting to know them more, I would have preferred it to stay a bit more case driven and a little less focused on their relationship. Also, cliff hanger much?

I'm always surprised by how addictive these Cormoran Strike books are - to the point where I can't stop listening until I'm done! The scenes are extremely detailed to the point where I can smell the smoke. I love the two main characters, who are both inherently kind hearted people who have had to overcome some terrible life experiences. They are survivors - flaws included. This book is the best of the three as far as suspense goes with action and mayhem right up to the very end. I'm already star
