Boy this book was a ride right from the start. It seemed like the action didn't stop once and at times I just couldn't turn the page fast enough.
Zach is the type of guy that any woman would love to encounter, but especially if you have been kidnapped by a Mexican drug lord. He had the skills to help them escape. This was a great romantic suspense story. I liked that the heroine was not just a helpless victim. Natalie Benoit had already faced far more than her share of heartbreak and trauma even before she was kidnapped off a bus of journalists in Juarez, Mexico. She had survived a murder attempt in New Orleans and lost her parents and fiance during Hurricane Katrina. She had locked down her emotions and was carrying on as an investigative reporter in Denver.

Well I started on this right after the last one while all the continuing characters were fresh in my head. I really enjoyed it. It was over the top drama / action but it made me feel. And that's what it's all about in the end. I cared about these people. It's not something that would happen to ordinary people but it's interesting and fast paced. The heroine is kidnapped and the hero, ex-military of course, saves her. Or they save each other. It sounds simple but isn't really with feelings intert
