I loved how the story began and liked Lily’s voice from the onset.
Ryle and Lily share a slow-building relationship and I enjoyed the banter.
Despite what you may think, there is no love triangle or cheating.
Hoover used journal entries written by Lily to a celebrity as a young teen. I loved the references to a character they portrayed. It allowed me to understand Lily and her relationship to Atlas.
I adored Atlas and his story.

Yeah. It most definitely should end with them. It Ends with Us is a bit different from CoHo's other stories with more mature characters. There are quite a few things that are similar too, though: the amazing writing, the character-driven story, and my tears...

Quick Summary: “If you ever fall in love again, fall in love with me…”
My Review: It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover is book 1 in the series of the same name.
About the Book: An emotional story about navigating the hardships of life, all encompassing love, broken dreams, and new beginnings.
My Final Say: This was an extremely sweet yet volatile general fiction romance. There were definite triggers that made this a challenging read. The takeaway message was about being brave and bold.

It Ends With Us is even more emotional in audio than when I read it myself. Awesome story that needed to be told!

I'm not sure how Olivia Song managed to do this, but she made me fall even deeper in love with Lily with her excellent narration of It Ends With Us. This past weekend, my oldest daughter and I drove to the South of France for a book fest, and she hadn't read this one yet. And CoHo was one of the authors at the fest, so ...more

This was a very emotionally intense read. I came into it without knowing what it was about except that it would hurt. And it did.
I thought that the author tackled the subject matter very well, which is not entirely surprising because of her note at the end of the book and the fact that it is something she's had some experience with. A lot of time we make judgements based on good or bad, black and white, but there are all sorts of shades of grey and I felt the author was very sensitive when show ...more

This book was powerful. It started off subtle but had a slow burn to it. I really didn't know a lot about it going in except that it was supposed to be good. It definitely was and it was heavy. It dealt with domestic violence and abuse in a way that at times made you really have to consider the situation and try to see things through Lily's eyes as she herself did. Hoover's books always seem to make you feel something and this one was no different. It had all the feels and they went deep. This b

This is not my usual read but I really did enjoy it. It was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, but I am so glad that I read it.
