Once I realized what was going on I was on the edge of my seat. I felt for Lana, what she was going through and what she lost. I was glad that Daphne and Joesph figured things out and saved the day.

This novella is a great followup to the previous book about Daphne and Joe. It finishes some of the problems in the previous story with more details and brings us a quicker suspense story with children and horses. This is the first book of Karen Rose I have listened to on audio. The narrator did a good job, nothing that stood out, but perhaps that's for the best since then one could focus on the story. ...more
