For me to feel completely satisfied with the CHICAGOLAND VAMPIRES' conclusion, Chloe Neill needed to do three things: 1. Give Merit & Ethan their HEA. 2. Wrap-up the final arc. 3. Go out in style. Did BLADE BOUND pull it off? Yes, yes, and YES!
I liked that the author wasted no time in getting with the weddingpocalypse, and that it wasn't rushed for pacing reasons or ruined by sorcery. I'd expected the book to end on this note, so it was a nice surprise that readers didn ...more

Good wrapup to the series.

BLADE BOUND concludes the Chicagoland Vampires series. It begins with a wedding. Merit and Ethan are set to tie themselves together for eternity. We get to tag along on Merit's girls night out where she and friends overindulge on chocolate. Things have been quiet in Chicago for four months after Sorcha's defeat but, naturally, things can't stay that way.
The night before the wedding Merit surprises a vampire in Ethan's office who seems to be mentally ill. He is frantic because he is hearing voice ...more

I absolutely couldn't wait to read Blade Bound and was full of dread at the same time. Seriously love the Chicagoland Vampire series, so I was both excited and sad to read the final book in the series. This review will be full of spoilers about the series, so if you are behind on reading the series, you have been warned.
Chloe Neill gave her readers everything they could have ever wanted with Blade Bound in my opinion. We had the romance between Ethan and Merit I've come to love. Their wedding wa ...more

My review on the blog tour at The Book Nympho:
http://thebooknympho.com/2017/04/blog...
My friends told me to read this series and I finally came to the party a couple of years ago, listening to audio books while driving back and forth between Minnesota and North Carolina. I fell in love with Merit and Ethan. Strong women with hot guys trying to make the world a better place with their own sassy quirks are always welcome.

When I heard this book was the last one I was ok with it, it seemed time.
It was fun to see the festivities leading up to the wedding and the wedding itself. Merit's bachelorette party was perfect for her and so not what it seemed at the start. The wedding was prefect too, loved the role that Grandpa Chuck played.
Now of course things couldn't be all fun weddings because nothing is ever that easy for the Supernatural Community in Chicago. It annoys me that the powers that be still try to treat t ...more

I must say I feel satisfied in how the series has ended. I enjoyed the epilogue, but I still feel that the world is still left open. I hope Ms. Neill might return, maybe to write stories from another perspective. I enjoyed this world and was a little surprised how the loose ends resolved themselves. There were some great twists and turns and I enjoyed how Ethan and Merit weathered them. Ms. Eastlake's performance was wonderful and contributed greatly to my enjoyment of the novel. I must say, I'm
