This book was excellent and the intertwined politics was riveting. I don't think it's a great stand alone in the series - readers will have a greater appreciation for this novel if they read the Apprentice and understood Rizzoli and Dean's relationship beforehand.

Another awesome book in the series. Found this one very moving in its depiction of human trafficking and sexual abuse / rape, especially listening to Mila's point of view, which was done brilliantly by the audiobook narrator.
