Hmmm. I love Tess Gerritsen, and her novels always have me immersed in the world of Jane and Maura. However this was my least favorite of the series. There are a few reasons for this:
1. Though I am a spiritual person, the idea of evil and demons have never deterred me in novels or movies - usually. However, the level of depth in this novel was just a tad bit too disturbing for me to enjoy. Excellent writing and development - but wow did it make me say an extra prayer or two at night.
