WANDERLUST is utter swoon worthy perfection!
Talk about melt your heart sexy and just divine storyline. Plus throw in that broody, sexy Brit, the and the city of love Paris. Boom a 5 star hit, that will guarantee to make you a swoony mess.
Plus OMG Richard Armitage voice!! !If there could be death by a voice I would be a goner.
Yes, this could have happened.

Sexy, swoony, romantic, funny, this had everything. The narrators for this audio book were amazing and made the story come alive. #1 I love this author's books and grab each one as they come out. #2 I grabbed the audio book specifically because the male lead is performed by Richard Armitage. Joy is newly arrived in Paris and works as a perfume developer. She is excited to be in the city and embarking on a new, wonderous chapter of her life. Griffin has one bag packed and is ready to move on to the next adventure, as soon as he finishes this last contract. Griffin is a translator who is working through the grief of losing his brother.

The two meet in a pastry shop, and there is an instant connection but a phone call intercepts their conversation. As fate would have it, the two meet ag Joy is newly arrived in Paris and works as a perfume developer. She is excited to be in the city and embarking on a new, wonderous chapter of her life. Griffin has one bag packed and is ready to move on to the next adventure, as soon as he finishes this last contract. Griffin is a translator who is working through the grief of losing his brother.

The two meet in a pastry shop, and there is an instant connection but a phone call intercepts their conversation. As fate would have it, the two meet again at a coffee shop; only they soon discover he will be her translator. Despite sparks, they agree to keep it professional as he helps her navigate securing her flat, the city and performing duties with her new employer.

A friendship develops between them but when Joy asks Griffin to help her learn the language and experience the city an innocent flirtation leads to delicious kisses. I adored Wanderlust. It was refreshing to see Blakely write a straight contemporary that pulled at my heartstrings and made me want to pack my bags and fly to Paris.

Because Griffin is set to leave, the romance has a time limit, and it made their developing romance bittersweet. Griffin's story and bucket list regarding his brother tugged at my heartstrings, as did the story of Joy's last relationship. I loved watching them confide in each other, build trust and develop a meaningful relationship beyond a sexual nature.

If you are a "foodie," I swear some of the chocolate, smells, and croissants discussed will leave you drooling. Make sure you have plenty of emergency chocolate on hand.

Blakley brought the city of Paris to life from its cobbled streets to unique discoveries and gave us a beautiful romantic story.

The story narrated by Grace Grant and Richard Armitage was delightful on audio. Do you love a man with an accent? Prepare to swoon. This pair was perfect for Joy and Griffin's dual narrations. If ever there was a time you should pick the audio version vs the written, this is it! Joy is the bold, sexy, brash American who has just moved to Paris to reinvent her life. Griffen is the tall, handsome, British translator who's got a bead on all the quirks of the city and a wandering spirit. They have a chance encounter where there is instant attraction and chemistry. I really enjoyed this in audio - both readers are good. And as to the story itself, I loved both leads. He's charming and sexy and she's vibrant and open to life, and the city of Paris is an amazing in it's supporting role. This on the sexier side, which is less desirable for me these days, but there's still plenty of other good stuff even after the smexy times kick in. ...more

I LOVE Lauren's books! She's my "for me" aka pleasure reads! I always find a great mix of humor, romance and steaminess! She also has great taste in narrators!! This is important as we know that narrators can make it or break it when it comes to their performance. So imagine my glee when it was shared that the narrators for WANDERLUST were Richard Armitage and Grace Grant!!

2 Stars - This was not what I have come to expect from Lauren Blakely. I found it very slow and I wasn't too keen on the leading lady. Sadly I also didn't feel much chemistry between Joy and Griffin. There were a few funny parts and the ending was nicely done. I enjoyed their happily ever after. The narrators were decent and clear spoken.
