Well everything I said in my review for Edge of Darkness is still true. Karen Rose does write amazing characters grabbing my heart and stomping on it, a frighteningly realistic world of criminals, law enforcement, and those who help the victims. This book had so many layers, so much of Thorne’s past coming back at him, with the ultimate bad guy just using the past to hurt Thorne. That alone would have been bad enough, but this bad guy started going after Thorne’s friends. I loved that none of them turned their back on Thorne, instead they closed ranks, everyone going to their strengths to help Thorne prove he was innocent and it took all of them doing their best to defeat this foe.
