The Circle is a smart, readable, fun, scary page turner. Dave Eggers has a wide range as a writer. He's pretty much a genius but it's clear he also works his ass off. Guy isn't resting on his laurels, whatever those are.

That being said, the young female narrator is a bit stock-y. There's a twist at the end that feels implausible, or at least far-fetched. I wouldn't read it again but I can say this about 95% of the books I read. I guess what I really mean is that I didn't highlight brilliant sen

First things first, prior to reading this book I would have told you I hate Dave Eggers. Like full on HATE. A very interesting unique read . Mae was a great character .
It was unsettling in some ways , especially with the internet so important in daily living now.
A witty , satirical read that makes you think.

Relevant, but a bit lengthy. I suppose that goes along with a society that has too much sharing. Reinforces that we need to protect our right to privacy in this digital age. I am sad about Mae's relationships and how they changed so much. ...more

One-note info-dystopia story. Eggers is supposed be "Important" and a "Voice" and that's as may be. His book isn't why. Save your pennies and read A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius. Time better spent. ...more
