This book was so disappointing. When I first picked it up, I was so excited about it: a split-time novel about Jane Austen, with Austen a main character in the past and her works a main character in the present? Sign me up! And then it turned out to be an underbaked, rough, poorly-paced novel that didn't dive into the meta-Austen nearly the way it could have. I listened to this, which is probably best. It was a fun book to hear, but I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it as much if I had read it in print.
