I'm always leery of chick lit, but I needed to read a book with candy on the cover for a BB reading challenge. So glad I picked up this candy-coated book! I'm surprised how much I identified with/wanted to slap most of the characters in this book. The story is murder mystery-ish but really about the dynamic between the mothers of a class of kindergarten students and how they deal with adult romance, bullying, finances, and parenting. This was so good, and it's dethroned What Alice Forgot as my favorite Moriarty book. I love her realism with women and their relationships and lives. It's so sad that it even needs to be said.
