Completely not like the blurb on GR. A lot of things get in the way of the story - takes a while to get going, a few clichèd characters, the Asian girl is whitewashed IMO (but she's got lots of tattoos, man...), an attempt at social commentary, too much "telling" and not enough "showing". Some really nice art and colors though. Very violent. This was a trip--maybe because for half the volume, the main character, Marcus, was indeed tripping balls on acid. People will tell you this series is crazy. You will still not be prepared. I'm still trying to process some of the really twisted shit in here.

But the artwork is amazing. Wes Craig's pencils and Lee Loughridge take the batshit insane scripts of Remender and inject them with the craziness needed for the series.
