What Members Thought
While I still love Izabel and Alana and Marko’s parents, I clearly didn’t appreciate Gwendolyn and The Will enough as characters last time reading this. Also, the final pages of each issue are just so gorgeous. I want them all as posters. Along with the cover of Alana reading *googlyeyes* I’ve been stockpiling all the single issues since the Vol 2 story arc wrapped up since I couldn’t bring myself to read them and have to wait for the next bit of the story. The second volume of Saga is even more charming, heartfelt, witty, thought-provoking, and engrossing than the first. Great series, gorgeous illustrations, fantastic storyline, wonderful characters, and a lot of fun.
More back story, yay! Now I MUST get my hands on volume 3.
I continue to love this series. A lot happens in this collection. We meet Marko's parents and his ex. We learn how Marko and Alana met in the first place, and meet the author of the book that Alana is obsessed with and which sort of brought Marko and Alana together in the first place.
This volume also contains the infamous gay porn scene involving Prince Robot IV.

I continue to be hella into this.
This book is still just so good. I've never been a huge fan of Brian K Vaughan, but it feels like things are just coming together for him in this book. And FIONA STAPLES. She is a marvel. There are panels in this trade that took my breath away. Romantic and weird and space-opera-y.
