After 100 pages of introduction, the novel enters its action phase. Here is a typical sentence: p.145: "Johnson scooped up an AK-47 from beside a dead Chinese workman's body and threw CJ a Glock pistol." Normally I don't read books that feature Glock pistols. We'll see how this ends. ...more
