I literally just finished this book, and I tend to review books more favorably the sooner I review after reading, so excuse me if I effuse praise for a moment.
This book was amazing! Any Bronte fan will love it. It's truly grotesque in that tragic, romantic sense of the word. I liked the plot of this book--though I wouldn't call it a ghost story, more than I enjoyed the writing. The book held my attention, but I thought the pace was a bit uneven, especially towards the end. The writing kept pulling me out of the story and reminding me that I was reading rather than allowing me to get lost in the story. It was enjoyable, but not my favorite.
