Hilarious, of course-- I love Allie Brosh-- but the book format looses something when compared to the original online blog format. When you scroll through the pictures and Allie's story online, the sequential nature of that experience amounts to comedic timing. In the book, the next picture is on the contiguous page, and the surprise is lost, taking the wind out of some of the more ridiculous jokes (The God of Cake is a perfect example of this).

I loved this book with all of my heart. Not only did it hit the nail on the head when it comes to dogs (in most cases ;P) but her candor about her life struggles really resonated with me. I will definitely be following her blog.

Some parts were laugh out loud funny, some were touching, others were disappointing. This could have been a better book. It's a shame it wasn't, because I love brosh's voice when she's good. ...more
